About the Business
Emma grew up in the coastal village of Walberswick in Suffolk, where she had the wonderful fortune to be taught to sew by her Aunty when she was nine. Armed with her granny's sheets, pebbles from the beach, her mother's old saucepan and some pots of dye, a career in fashion began.
Later, having graduated with a BA Honors Degree in Fashion, Emma continued to improve her skills by making clothes not only for herself but for family and friends, too. In 1997, after many years of designing as a hobby, she finally decided to start up her own business. Combining her flare for fashion and awareness of garment construction, Emma designed and made a small collection of wedding dresses and, thus, the Emma Hunt label was born.
16 years on and Emma has built a reputation for creating exquisite dresses of the highest quality.
