About the Business
In terms of capturing sentiment, a few things are as enduring as Wedding Photographs, so the choice of a photographer will have lasting consequences. Your Wedding album is the most tangible documentation of the wedding day. I am based in West Kirby on the Wirral and operate throughout the North of England and have also photographed weddings in London, The Channel Islands, Ravello, Florence and Barcelona. I photographed my first wedding at 17 when I was thrown in at the deep end by my college lecturer, the renowned Herbert Hughes, a true eccentric and one of the Beatles' first official photographers. In my twenties, I worked at Liverpool Museum and Sothebys, Chester specialising in fine art photography before venturing out to set up my own photography business which has continued for the past 35 years. I use Hasselblad large format film and Nikon digital cameras to capture images in colour and b/w, through both informal reportage and more structured group shots.
