About the Business
I had always been creative; making and designing jewellery, dressmaking and cooking had always featured in my life. Now I was discovering the art of photography - all I wanted to do was to improve my skills and learn as much as I could! Using my limited knowledge of Arabic and Indonesian, I chatted with the people I wished to photograph, putting them immediately at ease. This approachable style produced better quality photographs, capturing people at decisive and poignant moments, and led to friends asking me to take family portraits.
My family is now home and settled in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. My focus since we came back has been on developing my family portrait shoots, weddings and commercial clients' business, supplemented by formal training.
I draw on the interactive skills I gained abroad to chat with the people I photograph to ensure they are relaxed. I can then capture and record candid moments through the camera lens so their personalities shine out.
