About the Business
The views from the cottages are of open fields and woods in the distance and away from traffic or population. David is on hand to answer any questions relating to the farm should you be interested. We have named the Cottages after the Prioresses who ruled the Priory until the dissolution of the monasteries around 1536 when it had 12 nuns in residence. The building and estate was then bequeathed to Robert Tempest by King Henry VIII and is now a working farm.
Priory Cottages are conveniently situated between the best experiences that Yorkshire can offer for a superb holiday break. They are beautifully appointed to an extremely high standard with quality contemporary furnishings and close attention to detail. Worktops are solid Italian granite, and floors are Travertine tiles. The bathrooms have contemporary luxury Italian bathroom fittings, tiling throughout and soft white towels.
