Originally built in early Victorian times as a Gentleman's country residence in its own extensive grounds, the Scarthwaite Country House Hotel still retains all the elegance and character of the period, coupled with the level of service and amenities expected in a modern hotel. Nestling in the picturesque Lune Valley, and within the Forest of Bowland area of outstanding natural beauty, the hotel is situated just 2 minutes from J34 of the M6, and less than 10 minutes from the historic town of Lancaster.
