The Dance School started way back in 2001, initially trading as The Dance School Limited. It is basically a social dance academy without the fuss of getting too technical and serious about the competitive side of dancing. The whole idea was, and still is, to help people learn to dance for social occasions.

Learning to dance is not a difficult skill to get to grips with; it’s all about learning the basic dance steps in a simple and easy way. Above all, it should be fun and enjoyable. And it doesn’t matter it is one person, a couple of a group of people. Be it social Ballroom dance; Latin dance; or even wedding dance, it can bring people together like no other activity. It should stay this way.

Wedding Dance Lessons

Wouldn’t it be perfect for your wedding first dance to be able to put together a few simple and nice steps, add an introduction and why not a finale and surprise everyone on your big day?

The first dance may last only a few minutes which feel to last an eternity if you don’t know what you are doing. Have you seen how awkward and hopeless couples who didn’t think about first dance lessons look on the big day? They go for the usual “wedding shuffle” and look absolutely ridiculous.

When in fact the wedding dance can be such a truly magical moment with memories to last for a long time. All you need is learn to dance only for this special occasion. Believe me, learning to dance is overrated: it’s easy and fun and, what’s more, you don’t need to have danced before. In fact, it’s better this way because the two of you will learn your first dance with the same pace.

You can still try to avoid the wedding dance altogether but go on and say this to the rest of the bridal party. Well, one of my couples (Jess and Chris) tried to do this and they said that family and friends nearly lynched them! Bless them; they ended up stealing the show on the big day with their first dance.
