Louise Thompson Owner and Manager of Tia-Mae remembers 'When I was looking for my wedding dress I was rushed around and passed dresses that the Assistant thought I should wear without consideration of what I wanted. I left feeling upset and embarrassed when I was told that I would have to lose at least two stone before considering the style that I liked'.
Many women have suffered similar experiences whilst shopping for their plus size wedding dress, one having the door of a shop closed in her face as they 'had nothing for her'. Tia-Mae is the result of my frustration that in a Country where the average woman measures size 16 /18 in a bridal gown, shapely women are still being ostracised.
